A Halloween Adventure in Gore Sound Design! 🎃🔊

Armed with a pumpkin, carving tools, and a diabolical imagination, I set the stage for a night of ghoulish audio experimentation. The goal? To turn the innocent act of carving into a blood-curdling experience, complete with squelches, squishes, and spine-tingling sounds that would make any horror film proud.

I recorded the gruesome symphony of pumpkin guts and seeds with a RODE NTG-2. The wet, squishy sounds as the knife punctured the pumpkin's flesh, the visceral squelches as I dug into the bowl—each grotesque sound slimier than the last.
